Silver Bullets Hockey Team
The Ottawa Police Silver Bullets hockey team is made up of sworn and civilian members of the Ottawa Police service. The team has been playing together for several years.

The goal of the team is to promote fun, fitness and sportsmanship, and to act as positive role models in our community, while playing in international police hockey tournaments as well as charity and exhibition games throughout the Ottawa region and North America.
For more information, or to arrange a game, contact Sgt. James Heaphy at 613-236-1222, ext. 2262 , or Sgt Calvin Goble at 613-236-1222, ext 2472.
Our team travelled to Lake Placid ( Oct 4,5,6, 2009 ) to play in The Anirondack / New York State Police Hockey Championships. We had a great tournamnet and lost in the Gold Medal game to the OPP. This was a charity event with all the proceeds going to the Pittsburgh Police Fallen Officers Fund. The proceeds were going directly to the families of the three Piitsburgh officers murdered in April in the line of duty, Officers: Eric Kelly, Stephen Mayhle and Paul Scuillo III.
We would like to thank Chief White as well as the Ottawa Police Association for matching the money our team raised through t-shirt sales which allowed us the honour of presenting an additional cheque of over $1,000.00 to the Pittsburgh Police Hockey Team. It should be noted that family members of the slain officers attended this event including Officer Scuillo's parents to recieve these donations and were very touched by the donation from North of the border! Mrs. Scuillo offered a hug, a kiss and a prayer so that all of us in Ottawa stay safe.
Our team also just finished playing ( Nov 13 & 14, 2009) in the Ottawa Senators Alumni Tournament for the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa and Camp Smitty. This is our fourth appearence in this event and Iam happy to announce we won this year. Again more importantly our team raised $1,500.00 that will go directly to Camp Smitty.
Our team will be travelling and playing in various police tournaments this season: Kingston for the 2009 International Police Hockey Tournament , Vaughan for the York Vintage Tournament and Pittsburg PA for another Police Tournamnet this season. Plans are also under way to play in The World Police Fire Games ( Aug 2011 ) in New York City.
We would also like to thank some of our sponsours who make all this possible:
