Community Crime Prevention

This 'Crime Prevention Program Evaluation Resource Workbook' is the companion document to the popular 'You Can Do It: Evaluation Toolkit' and 'Crime Prevention Performance Indicators' originally published in 2001.

The demand for the Evaluation Toolkit and Performance Indicators quickly illustrated a growing interest and need for more practical, hands-on evaluation resources. The Resource Workbook is based on experiences of and contributions from front-line practioners across Canada. It provides police and community members with ready-to-use program logic models and tools in undertaking evaluations of community crime prevention programs. Users can choose among samples dealing with Youth, Seniors, Business and/or Neighbourhood programs.

The Ottawa Police Service is proud to have championed this series of publications, with leadership and funding provided by the Department of Justice Canada - National Crime Prevention Centre and the Solicitor General's Department (Crime Prevention Partnership Program) - and hope that it will be of valuable assistance to communities across Canada.
