Records Check Fees
| Effective January 1, 2012, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) increased fees for services for: -
Police Record Check for Service with the Vulnerable Sector – $15 (free for volunteers with a volunteer letter) -
Criminal Record Check – $44 -
Non-Resident Surcharge (for people who do not live in Ottawa) – $36 -
Express Surcharge “while you wait” (only available at 474 Elgin St. for those living in Ottawa for 5 years) – $36 -
Copy of Police Report (e.g. accidents) – $49 -
Adoption Application Letter – $59 -
Pardon Application – $55 |
Express Surcharge: - Express service available Monday-Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm (except holidays). This service is available only for people who have lived in Ottawa for the past 5 years and can only be performed from the Central Police Station (Headquarters) at 474 Elgin Street. This surcharge applies in addition to the cost of your records check request. Non-Resident Surcharge:
-For people who do not live in the City of Ottawa, this surcharge applies in addition to the cost of your records check request.
