The Ottawa Police Service recognizes that families of persons deceased in unresolved cases often have special needs in relation to their loss. It is our intent to honour the privacy of the families that have been victimized in cases of unsolved homicide. In cases where the families of unsolved homicide victims would be interested in seeking information or support in respect to the death of their family member, it is strongly suggested that they contact the Cold Case office, (613) 236-1222, ext. 2547 or the Victim Crisis Section of the Ottawa Police Service. A protocol for contact and interaction will be established in keeping with your comfort and wishes while being mindful of the necessities of investigation.
