Ottawa Police lay charges following a personal robbery in the area of Aird Place and Castlefrank Road

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges against one male suspect following an attempt personal robbery in the area of Aird Place and Castlefrank Road.
On July 23, 2010, at approximately 3:40 am, two victims got off an OC transpo bus and were confronted by a lone male suspect. The suspect brandished a set of brass knuckles and verbally stated that he had a knife. The suspect then attempted to rob the victims but was unsuccessful. The suspect was later located and arrested by police. Neither of the victims suffered any injuries.
The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit has charged Marc AVON, 22-years-old of Ottawa, with one count of Robbery, one count of Possession of a prohibited weapon and one count of Breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
