Ottawa Police investigate a child drowning in Orleans

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  Wednesday, July 28, 2010      3:00 pm

(Ottawa)—At approximately 10:20 am today, Ottawa Police Service, Ottawa Paramedic Service and Ottawa Fire Services responded to a call of a child found in a pool at a residence on Rougemont Drive in Orleans.

 

The child, under the age of 5 years old, was transported to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario in very serious condition and was later pronounced dead. At the request of the family, no further details about the child will be released at this time.

 

The matter is still under investigation by Ottawa Police.
