(Ottawa)—Ottawa Police investigators have identified the body of the male found drowned in the Rideau Canal. Next of kin have been notified and no further information will be released in relation to this incident as it has been deemed non suspicious.

Ottawa Police is at the scene of a suspicious death

(Ottawa)- The Ottawa Police Service is currently at the scene of a suspicious death in the area of the Rideau Canal at Colonel By Drive and Laurier Avenue.

Shortly after 9:00 am the body of a male was seen floating in the Rideau Canal. The Ottawa Police Service along with the Ottawa Fire and Paramedic Services attended the location and assisted in removing the body from the water. The death is being treated as suspicious at this time and an investigation surrounding the death is underway.
