High Tech Crime and Internet Child Exploitation
The High Tech Crime Unit investigates the online exploitation of children. Whether it is luring a young child over the internet, or the possession of images, movies and text that depict the sexual molestation/exploitation of society's most vulnerable.
Our support mandate is to provide computer forensic support to other sections and units within Ottawa Police, as well as technical support to officers who deliver Internet safety presentations in schools and the community.

Internet safety presentations are sometimes requested for children. Please contact your local school or school resource police officer, as the High Tech Crime unit can assist these officers in their presentations.
